To assemble PCBs with surface-mount parts, use the reflow oven.
- Switch then oven on using the switch on the top-left rear corner of the oven.
- Apply solder paste and place your parts, then pull the handle to open the oven drawer and insert your PCB.
- Press F3 to select a pre-programmed temperature curve. Use F1 and F2 to page through the available options; for most applications, “wave 4” is a good choice.
- Press F4 to confirm your choice. You may need to press it twice. You’ll know your selection is saved when it returns you to the main menu, now in Chinese. Press F4 once more to return to the English menu.
- Press F1 to start baking; the oven will heat according to the temperature curve you chose.
- When baking is finished, the oven will beep loudly; press the S button to stop it.
If you find that any joints are bridged or otherwise need reworked, use the hot air stations.
