Interior of the ED12 valve. This $350 valve was clearly designed to be maintained, but I found zero instructions online. If the drain jams open but turning off the power makes it stop, or it will not activate on its own but the TEST button on top activates it, the float is jammed with crud Pull both power plugs at the wall. DRAIN ALL AIR PRESSURE FROM THE TANK. Remove the electrical plug on top of the ED12 with a phillips. The output nut is a 17mm wrench, input nut is 20mm. There is ample room to swing the wrenches. There is no mounting hardware to address. The unit is suspending from the input port so do that last. The brass plug may be removed and rinse/shake/drain may clear it. Or, you need to remove 4 large and 4 small screws and it opens up. There is no interior o-ring or gasket if you take the body apart. The input port has a shaped rubber gasket, take it off and set aside so you do not lose it. If you go to wash it and it falls down the drain you will feel bad. The float will probably be jammed with wet wood dust crud. Wash.
Reinstall the input port washer with the semicircular face towards the valve body, When reinstalling, be VERY certain you are not cross-threading the input or output ports. Always hand-thread first and check with a flashlight. Since there is a gasket, the nuts need very little torque. Hand tight then two 1/6th turn nut faces should be plenty. Replace the electrical plug up top.
