Intro to the Wood Lathe Class

This class covers working safely and efficiently with the wood lathe.

Syllabus

• How to secure pieces with a screw chuck, face plate and regular chuck
• Using a variety of different tools and ensuring that they stay sharp
• Steps required to complete various projects, focusing especially on making bowls

This class may not be long enough for us to finish making a bowl from scratch, but you will leave with a piece of wood well on its way toward becoming a bowl - and the skills necessary to finish it.
