The CNC Router course is a two-part course in the use of our custom 5x8 CNC router that will take place on two evenings in the same week.

Syllabus

Day 1 (Online)

  • Introduction to the CNC Router and related programs needed to use it.
  • Lessons on bits to use, materials and speeds, and layout on the Machine.

Day 2 (In-Person)

  • setting up the machine
  • saving g-code and running the machine with LinuxCNC

Completion of Part I is a prerequisite for taking Part II.

Requirements

You must wear eye protection while using the CNC router. Please remember to bring a notepad or another way that you can take notes during the class.
