For this saw, the red button on the power panel is the off button. If you use this button, you will need to twist it to reset it. It will take the blade more than a minute to come to a stop.
If you wish to use the brake pedal, push gently. It still will take a little while for the blade to stop running. The brake pedal will shut power off to the saw. (This is per Grizzly Technical Support, and is not stated in their current version manual).
Only stomp heavily on the brake pedal in an emergency.
No adjustments allowed, except for Fence & Cutting height.
This saw takes a 180" blade. We typically equip it with a 1" 3tpi Timber Wolf resaw blade.
- No blade changes - call a steward or report via red QR code.
- Do not adjust bearings or tension. Do not release tension.
- If you see a problem that you think needs these adjustments, report using any red QR code.
If you are cutting logs, use a fixture. You will have to build your own. It is a good idea to run a metal detector across logs.
Maximum cutting height is 16¼", maximum cutting width is 24½"
The cast-iron fence isn't super tall. We keep sacrificial MDF fences around to help with resawing taller material.
